SINOPHILE


DEFINITION:

A Sinophile (from sino- meaning Chinese [originating through Persian and Sanskrit from Late Latin Sinæ] and -philos meaning loving [from Greek ϕίλος]) is a person who demonstrates a strong interest in aspects of China, Chinese culture or its people.


I am an Australian expat living in China. Origin: Toowoomba, Queensland, Australia; currently Pu’er, Yunnan, China

After five years in Beijing, I moved to Pu'er (Simao), Yunnan in south-western China in mid-2011.

This is a sister blog to my primary blog dedicated to my passion for entomological macrophotography, SINOBUG (http://sinobug.tumblr.com), and contains those things concerning my life in China that don't belong there, including my (non-insect/arachnid) photography, reblogs of things that interest me, things that should be shared and an avenue for me to respond to other bloggers and their posts (for better or for worse).
